I am a Board Certified Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgeon currently practicing in South Florida. Although I am Board Certified in Adult General Surgery as well, I have devoted my practice almost exclusively to Pediatric Surgery since completing my training 10 years ago, first in Akron, Ohio and now in Palm Beach County Florida. Approximately 50% of my practice is emergency procedures and 50% outpatient or scheduled surgeries. I currently practice in all areas of Pediatric Surgery of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, including Neonatal and Congenital Disorders, Pediatric Tumors and Malignancies, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Pulmonary lesions, Thyroid Disorders, Pectus Deformities, Splenic Disease, Testicular and Ovarian Torsions and Masses and Colorectal Disorders. Dr. Dorion is an experienced general surgeon, surgical endoscopist, trauma surgeon, and surgical intensivist with over 23 years of clinical experience at an American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma verified Level 1 Trauma Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in Surgery with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care. He holds a current, unrestricted medical license in Ohio. Dr. Dorion attended medical school at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and completed a General Surgery residency at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. He completed the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Multidisciplinary Adult Critical Care Fellowship.
