I am a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon in private practice since 2006. I have extensive expertise in proctology and anorectal surgery, including hemorrhoidal disease, anal fistulae, fecal incontinence, and have a busy colonoscopy practice. I have experience dealing with many different types of complications related to colorectal surgery, such as abscesses, leaks, and perforations. I have additional expertise in the field of inherited cancers, particularly inherited colon and rectal cancers. Genetic testing is an integral part of my practice and while that is mainly gastrointestinal cancers, I have experience with the genetics of many other inherited cancer syndromes, including breast, ovarian, and uterine cancer syndromes. I do genetic testing in my office and believe that many patients with a family history of colorectal cancer don't get the needed testing..
