I am currently a board certified cardiac electrophysiologist practicing in South Florida. I am a partner at Cardiac Arrhythmia Service, which I joined after the completion of my training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Yale University/Yale-New Haven Hospital. I am also board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography and am board-eligible in critical care medicine. I currently practice all aspects of clinical and invasive cardiac electrophysiology, performing >500 device implants/replacements(PPMs, ICDs, SICDs, Leadless PPMs, ILRs, LAAO), >50 extractions(laser lead extraction) and >200 ablations(SVT, AF, VT) yearly. I remain involved in academic medicine and research, currently holding the title of Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor at FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.

I am an Ivy league-trained, ABIM board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist from Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. I am also ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, also graduating from the University of Pennsylvania. I have been actively practicing in Sarasota since electrophysiology fellowship for over 7 years and perform >600 procedures per year. I am considered a leader in the region by many and perform educational duties for Internal Medicine residents from FSU and have served as a site-PI for several national research trials. Dr. Norris is a multiply board certified cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist who trained under Douglas P. Zipes, MD, at Indiana University School of Medicine. He has practiced cardiac electrophysiology for more than 20 years in Clearwater, FL and has specialized in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and stroke prevention. Dr. Norris has lectured extensively in Florida and as far away as Macedonia on the utilization of catheter ablation, device therapy and newer medications for the management of atrial fibrillation.
