My original training was in pediatrics and I practiced pediatric emergency medicine for 5 years after 1 year in private practice. I was a clinical assistant professor through the Medical College of Georgia , and later at University of Illinois School of Medicine ( Chicago) , and did bedside teaching of residents and medical students as well as weekly didactic sessions. I was board certified in pediatrics from 1988-2002. I returned to residency , specializing in anesthesiology and completed the program along with a 6 month fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. John Seitz is a New York City based anesthesiologist with over 16 years of experience as an actively practicing anesthesiologist in Manhattan. He did his anesthesiology training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
