I am a practicing, board-certified family physician with thirty-six years of clinical experience caring for patients in offices, hospitals, emergency rooms, and nursing homes. My experience includes serving thirty years as the medical director at three skilled care and one assisted care nursing facility. I have provided direct care to thousands of patients at five skilled care and one assisted care nursing faculties. Additionally, I have had more than 150,000 out-patient and 50,000 inpatient encounters. Dr. Stone's field of practice is Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. He has over thirty- seven years of experience in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. A past president of the Texas Affiliate of the American Diabetes Association, Dr. Stone received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific and a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. He completed a residency in aerospace medicine and a fellowship in hyperbaric medicine and wound care at the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks Air Force Base. While serving our country as an Army physician and flight surgeon, he received numerous honors including Senior Army Flight Surgeon Wings, promotion to the rank of Major, and the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
