After graduating from Cook College,Rutgers University with a BS degree, he then pursued and received his Master’s Degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University in biology. Afterwards, he completed his medical schooling south of the border at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Dr. Axelrad then completed his five years of general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
