Kelly is an experienced personal property appraiser specializing in fine art and archival collections. As an expert witness and consultant, she has assisted in cases for tax matters, insurance claims and business dissolution to provide valuations for corporate litigation, determination of cultural property, estate and family law and economic damages. Her appraisal knowledge for personal property is recognized by government agencies, legal firms and cultural institutions throughout North America. Kelly holds a Master of Information Studies, Archival Science from the University of Toronto and a BA (Hons), Art History from the University of Ottawa (partially completed at the University of Siena, Italy).
