Additional Information

Dr. Kashyap Patel is a double board-certified neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist who has maintained an active, full-scope clinical neurology practice in Statesboro, Georgia since 2010. As founder of East Georgia Neurology and Neurodiagnostics, he evaluates and treats patients across the full spectrum of neurological disease — stroke, epilepsy, headache and migraine, peripheral neuropathy, neuromuscular disorders, movement disorders, and traumatic brain injury — giving him the depth of ongoing clinical experience that attorneys and adjusters look for in an expert: someone who is still actively practicing medicine, not solely performing evaluations. Dr. Patel is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, and completed his Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at Wake Forest University after serving as Chief Neurology Resident at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. He holds active medical licenses in Georgia and Florida and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Medical College of Georgia, where he contributes to the training of future physicians. His procedural expertise includes EMG and nerve conduction studies, EEG and ambulatory EEG, evoked potentials, video nystagmography and autonomic nervous system testing, nerve/muscle/carotid ultrasound, transcranial Doppler, and Botox for dystonia, spasticity, and headache — giving him direct, hands-on command of the diagnostic tools most often at issue in neurological IME and record review cases. Dr. Patel has completed independent medical examinations and record reviews in over 50 cases across expert witness, workers' compensation, personal injury, disability and SSDI evaluations, peer review, and record-only review. He is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia and Florida, where he performs in-person IMEs, and offers medical record review services nationwide. His reports are grounded in a thorough review of all available records, a complete clinical history and examination, and an objective, evidence-based opinion — regardless of which side has retained him. He is available for deposition and trial testimony and communicates directly and promptly with referring attorneys when a case requires clarification. Beyond his clinical and forensic work, Dr. Patel has an ongoing interest in the intersection of neurology and mind-body health. He has led community stress-management and meditation programs — including sessions for dementia caregivers and local support groups — and serves as adjunct faculty at Georgia Southern University's research department, where his work focuses on meditation's role in stress and migraine management. This background gives him a distinctive, well-rounded perspective on chronic neurological conditions and their functional impact — a perspective that often translates into clearer, more complete IME reports. Dr. Patel is committed to responsiveness, thorough documentation, and timely turnaround on all IME and record review assignments.
