14Additional Information
I am a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than 15 years of experience providing comprehensive perioperative care, including the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative management of surgical patients. I have experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of surgical specialties, including obstetrics, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, otolaryngology and trauma. My current clinical focus is ambulatory and office-based anesthesia. I serve as Medical Director for an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice, where I provide anesthesiology services and oversee office-based surgery safety initiatives, including the development and execution of medical emergency preparedness drills. I contribute to patient safety and professional education through participation in quality improvement committees and the review of anesthesia-related safety cases. I bring direct medical-legal experience through my service on the Texas Medical Board Expert Committee and my work as an expert case reviewer for the Texas Medical Liability Trust. I also serve on the Anesthesia Continuing Education (ACE) Editorial Committee, contributing to the development and publication of two continuing education texts annually. I am experienced in explaining complex anesthesia and patient safety concepts in clear, accessible language for lay audiences.
