Board-certified anesthesiologist actively practicing in a high-volume orthopedic ambulatory surgery center in Texas. Clinical practice focuses on orthopedic anesthesia, total joint arthroplasty, spine surgery anesthesia, regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, perioperative medicine, anesthesia supervision, and medical direction. I routinely provide anesthesia care for total knee arthroplasty, total hip arthroplasty, total shoulder arthroplasty, spine surgery, sports medicine procedures, hand surgery, and foot and ankle surgery. I hold both M.D. and J.D. degrees, earning my medical degree from Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and my law degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. I completed anesthesiology residency training at the University of Rochester Medical Center and have been in active clinical practice since 2018. My professional experience includes both ambulatory surgery center and hospital-based anesthesia practice. In addition to clinical practice, I have experience in medical-legal education, risk management, and physician training. During residency, I helped organize and facilitate educational programs involving physicians, attorneys, judges, and risk management professionals focused on medical malpractice, patient safety, healthcare liability, and medico-legal case analysis. I also coordinated a medical malpractice and risk management education program for senior anesthesiology residents and participated in resident teaching and educational conferences. I have authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications addressing clinical medicine, medical ethics, healthcare law, and risk management. My combined medical and legal training provides a unique perspective when evaluating issues involving anesthesiology, perioperative care, patient safety, ambulatory surgery centers, regional anesthesia, anesthesia supervision, and standards of care.
