Dr. Sheryl Thailer is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialty in forensics for 40 years. Dr. Thailer has conducted hundreds of forensic evaluations and provided expert consultation on various cases involving civil, criminal and family law. Dr. Thailer has represented both plaintiff and defendant. From the defendant perspective she provides expert reports on the effects of employment discrimination, sexual harassment, bullying, medical malpractice, personal injury and trauma for psychological damages. From the defendant perspective she provides reports on the likelihood of malingering and secondary gain in order to secure monetary reward. She has been deposed numerous times. She has been deemed an expert by courts in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virigina. Known for objective, evidence-based opinions, Dr. Thailer has testified as an expert witness in state and federal courts. A listing of cases where she has done forensic expert work is available for review as well as a typical expert report. Often, she has been called to rebut the opinions of psychologists and psychiatrists in legal proceedings. Dr. Thailer's work is hallmarked by in depth research and prompt meeting of deadlines. She is highly responsive to feedback and has unparalleled communication skills. In addition to her work in forensic psychology, she is on staff at a large psychiatric facility in New York. She is the Residential Admissions Coordinator for substance abuse, PTSD and the homeless programs. It is her responsibility to assess whether a patient meets criteria for admission to these programs. Many of these cases require evaluation for depression and anxiety. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Science and the American Psychological Association.
