Board-certified neurologist with subspecialty fellowship training in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at Mayo Clinic. Currently Assistant Professor of Neurology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, with an upcoming appointment as Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). I have completed the SEAK Medical Malpractice Survival Training for Physicians. Extensive expertise in acute care neurology, including acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, status epilepticus, refractory seizures, neurocritical care, encephalopathy, neuromuscular respiratory failure, altered mental status, CNS infections, and post-cardiac arrest care. Highly experienced in continuous EEG monitoring, ICU EEG interpretation, long-term epilepsy monitoring, and emergent EEG consultation, with deep familiarity in evidence-based management of critically ill neurologic patients. Serves in multiple leadership and academic roles, including Vice Chair of Medicine, Neurology Subspecialty Coordinator for Internal Medicine Residency, and Epilepsy Program Development Lead. Actively involved in medical education, resident and medical student teaching, curriculum development, and quality improvement initiatives. Regularly lectures on acute neurology, stroke systems of care, EEG interpretation, and seizure management.
