Dr. Darrin Mangiacarne has been retained on 31 legal cases including malpractice, wrongful death, disability, as well as national opioid litigation. Dr. Mangiacarne has experience working with plaintiffs on 21 cases and defense attorneys on 10 cases. Dr. Mangiacarne has been deposed 4 times and has never been the subject of a Daubert challenge. Dr. Mangiacarne is the acting President of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Mangiacarne is the Chief Medical Officer for Banyan Treatment Centers supervising the medical treatment in 18 facilities across 8 states. Dr. Mangiacarne is a licensed physician in 18 states. Dr. Mangiacarne is board certified in family medicine from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) and addiction medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) and (AOBFP). Dr. Mangiacarne is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (DFASAM) and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine (DFAOAAM). Dr. Mangiacarne graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Dr. Mangiacarne received his master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. Mangiacarne completed his family medicine residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA. Dr. Mangiacarne completed his addiction medicine fellowship at Geisinger Health System. Dr. Mangiacarne is a Certified Physician Executive. Dr. Mangiacarne has worked in the addiction field for the past 16 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Mangiacarne has been in leadership roles for the past 12 years. Dr. Mangiacarne co-chaired the Indiana Attorney General’s Task Force on addiction. Dr. Mangiacarne is the Past-President of the Indiana Society of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Mangiacarne previously served as the Regional Medical Director for Spero Health for 3 years, overseeing their medication assisted treatment throughout the Midwest.
