Dr. Sassower is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology. He has been in clinical practice for almost 30 years. He was admitted to the Honors Program In Medical Education 6 year medical program at Northwestern University. He completed a BS in Medical Science from Northwestern University and received his MD from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Sassower completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship as well as his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at Deaconess Hospital/Harvard Medical School where he was also a Clinical Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Interventional Cardiology at Mohawk Valley Health System. He was previously the Medical Director for the structural heart program at MVHS. He has expertise in clinical cardiology, Interventional Cardiology (including atherectomy, stenting, thrombectomy), Impella LVAD placement, Structural Heart disease device management (Watchman, TAVR, Mitraclip), peripheral vascular intervention including atherectomy and stent placement.
