Additional Information

I am a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician, with over 20 years of experience. After attending University of Minnesota, he completed residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. To this day, he continues to actively care for patients across a broad spectrum of ED’s, from a Level 1 Trauma Center with comprehensive Stroke & Cardiac care, to stand alone Emergency Departments & smaller hospitals that have far fewer available resources. Prior experience in case reviews and depositions, including both plaintiff & defense. Attended SEAK’s How to Start, Build & Run a Successful Expert Witness Practice & SEAK’s How to Excel as an Expert Witness in Medical Malpractice Cases. My initial interest in this career came after my own personal deposition, in which my lawyer remarked "you should look into being an expert witness". Expert Medical Witness work is an important part of my career, and one I expect to continue to grow. However, I am still an active physician and plan to work within the ER for several more years. I will be honest & thorough in my initial evaluation of a case, comfortable in expressing whether I believe there is a strong case to pursue, or one in which the outcome is completely understandable considering the circumstances. You will find me easily accessible and easy to work with, and nimble at reviewing the initial case and making that first initial decision on whether there was a potential breach of duty. As I have been a Medical Director in some form for over 15 years, I appreciate the nuances of decisions made within the healthcare setting. I am a proponent of good care, but also being supporting of clinicians through a professional process if they failed to reach that standard of care. The importance of an ethical approach to being an expert witness cannot be stressed enough. I look forward to working with you.
