Dr. Garrett completed psychiatry residency at the University of Washington, followed by a one-year fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Garrett is the medical director of behavioral health services at Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He maintains a full-time clinical practice working primarily as an inpatient adult psychiatrist. Dr. Garrett has experience providing hospital services including adult inpatient services, consultation liaison, inpatient addiction, and emergency department consults.
