Atul Madan, M.D. is a board-certified cardiologist and interventional cardiologist practicing in central Florida area. He has treated over 100,000 cardiac patients and performed over 6,000 invasive cardiac procedures during his 18 years of cardiology practice. He did his interventional cardiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School in Boston and cardiovascular disease fellowship from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He is presently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology at HCA- Florida Osceola Hospital. In addition, he has held various leadership positions in hospital departments and local physician organizations. For the last nine years, he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. In addition, he is a research mentor in the Focused Inquiry and Research Experience (FIRE) program designed to involve medical students in research earlier in their careers.

I have been an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for 10 years, I received my Masters degree from New York University in 2008. I started my career in nursing in 2005, when I worked in a Trauma Level One emergency room in New York City. Since graduating with my masters I have predominantly worked as a Cardiothoracic ICU Nurse Practitioner. I have managed patients both in the hospital and outpatient setting, specifically as a Heart Transplant Coordinator. I am trained to manage patients throughout there hospital course, pre/post surgery and the vast complications that arise. Spending time in the intensive care unit, step-down unit, consult service and discharge planning. I am also trained in ECMO/mechanical support management and have my FCCS and ACLS certifications.
I also am part time faculty at Pace University where I am developing there Acute Care NP program and adjunct clinical faculty at New York University.
