Additional Information

I am a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care at leading academic medical centers, including NYU Langone Health, Mount Sinai, Montefiore Medical Center, the University of Pennsylvania, and Maimonides Medical Center. My clinical expertise includes the perioperative management of complex cardiac and thoracic surgical patients, such as those requiring heart and lung transplantation, LVAD therapy, ECMO initiation and management, and advanced mechanical circulatory support. As a cardiothoracic surgery NP, I have managed patients across the continuum of care, performed invasive procedures (central lines, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters), developed and implemented evidence-based protocols, and trained Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students in both academic and clinical settings. My academic roles have included curriculum development and instruction at Pace University, where I co-developed the Adult Acute Care NP program, and serving as an Adjunct Clinical Faculty member at NYU, precepting NP students in the practice environment. Since 2018, I have served as an expert witness, reviewing medical records, depositions, and case documents to provide objective opinions on the standard of care, advanced practice scope, and clinical decision-making in hospital and outpatient settings. My work is evenly balanced, with approximately 40% plaintiff and 60% defense cases, ensuring impartiality and credibility. I bring a comprehensive understanding of cardiothoracic surgery, advanced practice nursing, and critical care to my expert witness work, offering clear, evidence-based, and unbiased opinions in complex medical-legal cases.
