Dr. Banooni is a board ceritified ob/gyn with over 15 years of experience. He is currently in private practice practicing obstetrics and gynecology. His areas of emphasis are minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high risk obstetrics, and office related procedures. He has experience as an expert witness in legal cases and has also served as an expert for the medical board of California. He has served on the peer review committee at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for over 2 years. In addition, Dr Banooni is involved in clinical research as the primary investigator for multiple FDA trials.

As a master's prepared registered nurse since 2013, with dedicated hospital experience in a level 3 perinatal center, practice has been focused in the areas of labor and delivery, high risk antepartum, postpartum, obstetrical triage, and newborn nursery. I currently serve in the role of charge nurse, committee chair, and preceptor, exhibiting sharp clinical and organizational skills. I have worked hard to continue my growth while maintaining a leadership position on my unit. I obtained my RNC, Registered Nurse Certification in Inpatient and High-Risk Obstetrics as well as certification in advanced fetal monitoring from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses. Lastly, in addition to multiple nominations, I was awarded a Daisy Award in 2020 demonstrating excellence and compassion. I am a board certified Ob/Gyn that has practiced since 2009. I work in a group practice outside Nashville, TN. I also practiced prior to this in Illinois and held some leadership positions. I currently practice both obstetrics and gynecology. This includes prenatal care, postpartum care, high risk pregnancies, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, induction of labor, VBAC/VTOL, and postpartum hemorrhage among others. I hold a certification from the National Certification Corporation in Electronic Fetal Monitoring. I also hold a certification in menopause as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner. I see patients with gynecological concerns both in the office and the hospital. I also see patients with menopause concerns and hormone replacement therapy. I perform gynecological surgery for multiple diagnosis. I have taken SEAK courses.
