I am a snow sports expert in skiing, sledding, tubing, duty of care, cause, proximate cause, and negligence. I've been a ski instructor certified by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) since 1982. My roles in the ski industry include, but are not limited to Division Director, Discipline Chairperson, Education Team Member, Trainer, and Examiner for multiple PSIA divisions. I am a L100 Race Coach certified by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA). I have over 54-seasons of on-hill snowsports experience, including safety, risk management, administration, and operations. I have a clear understanding of snow sports physics and mechanics through my PSIA, USSA, and engineering education and over 42-years of professional engineering practice. I am a licensed Professional Engineer in 13-states and own an active Civil Engineering expert witness practice.
