I am a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction and extensive clinical experience in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty. My practice has focused on joint replacement surgery for more than seven years, and I have served as Medical Director of Total Joint Programs at multiple hospitals, where I developed standardized surgical pathways, perioperative protocols, and data-driven quality initiatives aimed at improving safety and outcomes. My leadership experience includes serving as Chair of Orthopedic Surgery at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital and leading the orthopedic service line for IU Health Orthopedics & Sports Medicine–Muncie. Dr. Travers is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in adult reconstruction (joint replacement) and is on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania. He serves as the Director of the Orthopaedic Robotics and Navigation Program at UPenn and is the lead educator for the arthroplasty training curriculum - providing clinical/intraoperative training for medical students, residents, and fellows. He is also the Lead Orthopaedic Quality and Safety Officer at Pennsylvania Hospital. His clinical interests and expertise include total hip replacement, total knee replacement, navigation and robotic technologies, complex revision knee and hip replacement surgery, periprosthetic fracture, periprosthetic infection, and general orthopaedics/trauma.
