I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University in 1980 with a BSE in Chemical Engineering at the age of 19. I went to Cornell University Medical School and then did my General Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at UCLA over 8 years, including 3 years of research. I then went to University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Surgery for 3 years. I moved to Marietta, GA in 1995 and joined 3 other surgeons in a private practice. I was instrumental in growing this into a 13-person vascular surgical group. I was very involved in setting up an Outpatient Based Lab (OBL) as well as a Prosthetics Service in our practice. I was an early adopter of endovascular surgery for AAA repair, peripheral vascular intervention, and carotid stenting.
