Clinton Smith is a retired law enforcement professional with over 25 years of experience in public safety, investigations, and security management. He has held leadership roles including Internal Affairs Sergeant, Watch Commander, Detention and Corrections Training Unit Sergeant, Field Training Officer, Training Manager, and Deputy Sheriff's Association Executive Board Member. Clinton has instructed in emergency vehicle operations (EVOC), less-lethal weapons, ethics, leadership, and safety, and has developed new training programs including a 40-hour certification course for jail training officers.
His operational experience spans patrol, booking and release operations at Santa Rita Jail, conducting criminal investigations, and managing critical incidents for the Dublin Police Department and Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
