I am a board certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in Clinical and Surgical Diseases of the Vitreous and Retina. I spent over 10 years completing my medical and surgical training in Ophthalmology and Vitreo-retinal surgery in the United States. I am presently the only vitreoretinal surgeon in a multispecialty private practice in Chattanooga TN with a referral base from the surrounding 4 states. I received my medical degree from the University of the Philippines. I completed an Ocular Pathology fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute Johns Hopkins Hospital and residency training in Ophthalmology at Boston University Medical Center. I am a full time practicing comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interest in refractive cataract surgery, medical retina, and glaucoma. I have been practicing for three decades and still greatly enjoy my work. I also enjoy the battle of wits and the detective aspect of a deep dive into the literature as an expert witness.
