Qualifications and Background Mr. Perry retired in September 2021 from the University of North Carolina (UNC) Police Department in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, where he served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Safety and Chief of Police for two years. Before this role, he was the Assistant Vice President for Campus Safety and Chief of Police at the Florida State University (FSU) Police Department from 2006 to 2019.
