I have been a Physician Assistant (PA) for 23 years. I have worked in primary care, school-based health, urgent care, pediatric intensive care, outpatient orthopedics and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Barry Ruht completed his internship at the Lehigh Valley Network, introducing him to the Lehigh Valley. After completion of his orthopedic residency at Temple University Hospital, he returned to the Valley and the practice of orthopedic surgery. Dr. Ruht is an experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon who is fellowship trained in Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Ruht took one year off from full-time private practice in 2004 to pursue this fellowship. Dr. Ruht's fellowship was completed at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital Systems with Dr. Keith Wapner, Dr. Paul Hecht, and Dr. Wen Chao, internationally known board-certified orthopedic surgeons specialized in Foot and Ankle Surgery.
