Dr. Patil graduated from Vanderbilt University and earned his medical degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He worked as the Director of the Division of Addiction Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center from 2018-2021 and ran the inpatient addiction psychiatry consultation service and saw patients with addiction and pain issues in the outpatient psychiatry and primary care clinics. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and taught a number of courses at the medical school.
