I am a practicing pediatric intensive care physician. I also practice pediatric sedation. I have practiced pediatric intensive care since 1989. I am professor of Pediatrics at Georgetown University School of Medicine. In the past I have held the positions of Chief Medical Officer of St. Christopher Hospital for Children, Director of the Pediatric ICU Director of Pediatric Inpatient Services and Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital, and in these roles I have dealt with the Standard of Care for pediatricians and pediatric specialists. I am board certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and College of Critical Care Medicine. I have been serving as expert witness for over 25 years. My areas of expertise are acute, emergency and critical care pediatrics and pediatric sedation.

I have been licensed in 12 states. I attended the University of Missouri School of Medicine - Columbia, MO. My pediatric residency training was completed at Texas Children's Hospital, a Baylor-affiliated residency program. I have served as a pediatric emergency department medical director for several large healthcare organizations. I have currently dedicated 100% of my professional time to medical education activities and to expert witness services. My goal is to provide thorough and timely reviews for attorneys with an emphasis on standard of care requirements including any possible deviation that could contribute to liability. Dr. Johnson is a Board-Certified pediatric hospitalist with over 10 years experience as a clinician and medical educator. A pediatric hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of hospitalized children. His current practice includes providing pediatric hospitalist care in a highly populated urban setting. Dr. Johnson teaches medical students, and residents in a pediatric inpatient setting at Children's Hospital of the Kings' Daughters in Virginia as an Associate Professor. Dr. Johnson is currently a medical director of two medical-surgical floors in the hospital. Dr. Johnson has expertise in all aspects of pediatric hospital medicine. He is very comfortable with many aspects of multidisciplinary care.
