Dr. Maher is an actively practicing, double board-certified, physician with additional graduate-level training in pharmacology and clinical trial design. Since 2017, he has served as the Medical Director for the Johns Hopkins Pain Management clinics in the Washington, DC metro area.
Dr. Maher obtained his Medical Doctorate from Georgetown School of Medicine. He additionally completed graduate degrees in pharmacology from Georgetown Graduate School and clinical trial design from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and his pain management training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard School of Medicine in Boston. Since 2016, he has been a tenure-track assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he has served on various faculty leadership roles.
