Dr. Best is a dual board certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Pain Medicine physician. He is also a Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP). He completed his residency in PM&R at Rush University Medical Center, a Rush Medical College teaching hospital, in Chicago followed by fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital, in Boston. He is ABPMR certified in PM&R and Pain Medicine. He is also board certified in PM&R by the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada and has attained his Fellow of Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) designation. His clinical practice includes diagnosis and non-operative management of a variety of spine, joint, soft tissue, orthopaedic, and neurologic injuries, headache, concussion, and chronic pain conditions. He has also completed thousands of electrodiagnostic studies (EMG/NCS). He has been an expert witness for numerous cases, completed many independent medical examinations (IME) and life care plans, and testified in deposition or trial settings over 40 times.
