Dr. Kevin Griffiths is a Stanford and Rutgers-trained, double board-certified nephrologist and internal medicine physician, and owner of a leading nephrology practice in the Greater Washington, DC area. With over 17 years of full-time clinical experience, Dr. Griffiths provides direct patient care in dialysis, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and transplant nephrology, and is on the medical staff at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He has served as medical director for both inpatient and outpatient dialysis centers, maintaining rigorous compliance with CMS guidelines and safety protocols. A Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, Dr. Griffiths has served on the ASN Practicing Nephrology Group, the Nephrology Diversity and Inclusion Work Group, and the ASN Workforce and Training Committee. He has taught nephrology to medical residents and students using evidence-based medicine and has served as a key opinion leader at national nephrology conferences. Dr. Griffiths has been selected to serve on advisory boards for multiple healthcare companies and has contributed as a speaker on home hemodialysis and the treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism. A Castle Connolly Top Nephrologist since 2019, Dr. Griffiths has also been recognized as a Top 10 Nephrologist by the American Registry and Top Physician in Nephrology by the Consumer Research Council of America. Dr. Griffiths is available for expert witness consultations to both plaintiff and defense attorneys. Over the past five years, he has reviewed more than 250 medical malpractice cases, provided testimony at over 25 depositions, and testified at trial on five occasions.
