Dr. Michels is a licensed professional industrial engineer. He has provided depositions and testified in state and federal courts all over the USA. He has led organizations in major metal manufacturing operations, responsible for over 1700 vehicles in fleets to include all types of vehicles-- long haul trucks, local delivery trucks and freight line trucks, watercraft. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) and Certified Professional Logistician (CPL). He has managed over 2 Million square feet of industrial and warehouse space in the Arctic, Pacific and the United States. He has testified in state and federal courts on logistics, manufacturing, transportation and supply chain matters. He was the Dean of the College of Business at Montana State University-Billings, as well as the Dean, School of Systems and Logistics, Air Force Institute of Technology, Dayton, Ohio. He is certified by SOLE, the International Society of Logistics as a Certified Professional Logistician. He is Defense Acquisition Worker Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 certified in Acquisition Logistics. He is a former board member of the Lone Star Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association. He is the chair of the Industrial Engineering Professional Engineering Examination Committee at the National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors (NCEES) He has testified before state and national legislative committees on a variety of matters. Dr. Michels is a highly sought after speaker for national and international business, engineering and military related conferences. He is an articulate, powerful speaker. He is widely published in business and engineering publications. Dr. Michels has been a DoD Joint Program Manager leading programs over $5 Billion dollars. Dr. Michels was selected as the Montana Ambassador of the Year and is a 5 time Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
