Full time clinician double Board-Certified in both Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose and Throat) – Head and Neck Surgery and Sleep Medicine. National thought leader on balloon sinus surgery. Served on the Medical Advisory Board for Entellus Medical as one of three physicians charged with developing and implementing a physician education program for teaching balloon sinus surgery to other ENT surgeons. Duties included lectures, small-group conferences, live demonstrations during surgery, webinars, and hands-on cadaver labs. Published original research on the safety and efficacy of balloon sinus surgery and was charged with presenting the data at numerous national meetings. Over ten years of consulting experience. Experience includes expert witnessing, utilization review, disability review, and clinical research and development for industry. Affiliate Assistant Clinical Professor, Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine, 2005-present. English Major at Duke. Practice focuses on sinus problems and sleep medicine, but treats wide variety of conditions within ENT and Sleep Medicine including allergies, sinus headache, sinus infections, balloon sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, snoring, sleep apnea, breathing problems, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, ear infection, hearing loss, mouth sores, neck mass, sore throat, nose bleeds, and cancers of the head and neck (throat cancer, thyroid cancer, tongue cancer, vocal cord and sinus cancer). Diagnostics utilized include allergy testing, CT scans, MRI scans, endoscopic examinations, biopsy, sleep study interpretations, cultures, video stroboscopy, hearing tests, and dizzy tests. Treatments and procedures utilized in practice include OR surgery, in-office ENT surgery, balloon sinuplasty; oral appliance therapy; CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure); provent sleep apnea therapy; allergy shots, allergy drops, TMJ NextGeneration Therapy, vestibular rehab, tinnitus management including Neuromonics.
