He is now a Consultant Physician in Diabetes and Endocrinology for La Familia Medical Center in Santa Fe. Dr. Bernstein earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 1970, did his internship and residency at Boston City Hospital from 1970-1975, and his Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Stanford University Medical Center from 1975-1977. Dr. Bernstein belongs to the following professional organizations: The Endocrine Society American Diabetes Association American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists Dr. Bernstein also serves on the editorial board of the journal, Endocrine Research. Over the past 23 years, Dr. Bernstein has reviewed numerous charts for appropriateness of care, and has done fourteen depositions and has appeared in court as an expert on several occasions.
