Dr. Lehrer received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Florida in 1984, and after associating as an associate in private dental practices, established a partnership in a dental practice in 1988. As a Member of the Academy of Sports Dentistry and a former college athlete, Dr. Lehrer philanthropically involved himself in the community by providing oral cancer screenings and fabricating protective mouth guards for all of the Nova Southeastern University athletes. Dr. Lehrer has been an Associate Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine from January 2002 through November 2023 in the departments of Cariology/Restorative Dentistry and Oral Surgery and a member of the American Dental Education Association. In addition, Dr. Lehrer provided continuing education for dental providers in the state of Florida in record keeping/risk management. Dr. Lehrer is currently the medical/dental director for HeadsUp Healthcare, evaluating Worker's Compensation injuries and facilitating treatment of the employees involved in work-related accidents. Dr. Lehrer has assisted a plethora of attorneys in dental legal matters for the past thirty (30) years, representing plaintiffs or defendants in malpractice claims. Dr. Lehrer was accommodated Educator of the Year in 2004 by the Florida Dental Congress as well as voted Professor of the Year at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in 2004 and 2007. He received his Master’s of Science degree, with a specialty in Medical Education, from Nova Southeastern University in 2005. Dr. Lehrer reviews manuscripts authored by dental professionals for publication in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Journal. Dr. Lehrer has attained his licensure/ certification as a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2014.
