Dr. Sheorn is a sole practitioner who specializes in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of PTSD. She is also the Director of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training at the Department of Psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia where she supervises and teaches the psychiatry residents. The training focuses on diagnostic complexity and the specifics of treatment. As a past-president of the Virginia Psychoanalytic Society, Dr. Sheorn has an exceptional skill in the use of the DSM 5 - TR as well as an understanding of the dynamics and other signals that are necessary to make the clinical diagnosis of PTSD.
