• Sanford Finkel, MD, is an active clinician, geriatric psychiatrist for over 50 years. • His primary forensic activity relates to contested wills, particularly complex material which requires comprehensive analysis. • He has been retained in about 200 cases and can provide references upon request. • He currently is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago Medical School. • He also has been a Professor of Psychiatry at Northwestern University Medical School where he also was a Professor in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Neurology. • He is the Founder of the American Association of Geriatric Psychiatry and co-founder of the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA) and the American Psychiatric Association Council on Aging. • He is the Founding chair of the IPA’s Task Force on Testamentary Capacity and Undue Influence. • He has approximately 150 publications and has given over 1000 lectures in the field of geriatric psychiatry.
