Eduardo Romero Tagle is a dual-licensed attorney in Mexico and Texas. Licensed in Mexico since 2012 and authorized to practice in all courts of the country, he has been immersed in Mexico's legal and judicial system since 2008, with deep experience in Mexican constitutional, business, commercial, family, and criminal law. Eduardo spent more than a decade in Mexico's Federal Judiciary, including two and a half years as a law clerk in Mexico's Supreme Court, one year as a staff attorney in a Court of Appeals, and four years as a staff attorney for a Supreme Court Justice, including one year as Chief of Staff. In that role, he drafted opinions to be discussed at the Conference of Justices, as well as dissenting opinions on behalf of the Justice; his name appears as author in nearly 200 Supreme Court opinions spanning multiple topics, including high-profile cases involving constitutional and statutory interpretation. After leaving the Supreme Court, Eduardo became a partner at a boutique litigation firm in Mexico City, handling constitutional, business, commercial, and criminal litigation across multiple jurisdictions. Since 2022, alongside his continued work as counsel in Mexico, Eduardo has also practiced law in U.S. federal and Texas courts and in international arbitration, and he continues to accept invitations to participate as counsel in federal appeals in Mexico. He currently serves as a co-arbitrator in an ongoing ICC arbitration and represents a party in a separate ICC arbitration matter. In early 2026, after practicing as an associate and later partner at U.S. law firms in Texas, he founded Tagle Law Group PLLC, a boutique firm dedicated to cross-border litigation and dispute resolution between the United States and Mexico, where he also provides Mexican law expert witness services in U.S. proceedings. What distinguishes Eduardo's expert witness practice is not only his depth of knowledge of Mexican law, but his ability to translate it for a U.S. audience. Because he also practices U.S. law and operates within the American legal system, Eduardo understands how American judges think, reason, and evaluate foreign law — allowing him to explain Mexican legal concepts through the analogies, comparisons, and distinctions that make sense to a U.S. court, rather than simply describing Mexican law in isolation. This dual fluency lets him bridge both systems clearly and credibly, rather than translating one system into the other.
