Patrick Holert, CFA, CAIA, ERP, CIRA has testified in multiple cases involving cryptocurrencies and operating data centers for mining cryptocurrencies. He brings over 30 years of professional experience in digital assets, investment research, private equity and consulting. Mr. Holert has served in executive roles for two of the largest companies in cryptocurrencies mining. Over 2025 to 2026, he was Chief Executive Officer of Ecohash LLC, a fully owned subsidiary of Cango Inc (NYSE: CANG), which operates one of the largest fleets globally of Bitcoin mining rigs. During 2021 to 2023, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Celsius Mining LLC (now Ionic Digital), where he managed a fleet of more than 120,000 Bitcoin mining rigs; negotiated multiple vendor, contractor, hosting and leasing agreements; and coordinated development of 87MW of mining sites in Texas. His experience at Celsius Mining includes supporting the company through a Chapter 11 restructuring. Prior to working in digital assets, Mr. Holert worked in research at BBVA Securities, a subsidiary of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (NYSE: BBVA). Over 2011 to 2019, he served as Research Principal, supervising the activities of more than 60 research analysts and personnel in preparing reports on equities, credits and macroeconomics in Europe and Latin America. Over 2016-2019, he concurrently served as Head of U.S. Credit Research, preparing reports on upstream and midstream energy companies that were issuers of high yield debt. He also has significant experience in Asia, where he prepared reports on telecommunications companies in Thailand and South Korea as a senior equity analyst with Nomura Securities. He has further served as an investment manager of private equity capital in Southeast Asia with the Beta Mekong Fund and the Thai Development Capital Fund. Additionally, he founded and managed a consulting and advisory company in Thailand, Sun Capital Research, executing projects in multiple countries across Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Holert has a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in mathematics and economics from Claremont McKenna College and specialized in finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Energy Risk Professional and Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor. Previously, he was registered with FINRA Series 4, 7, 16, 24, 63, 79, 86 and 87.
