2Additional Information
I am board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology and am a Board Certified Subspecialist in Pediatric Neuropsychology from the same board. I pride myself as being warm, empathic, and able to explain complex concepts in an understandable, digestible way. I provide evaluations for children and adults, age 3 to 55. As a part of my training, I completed one-year of pre-doctoral training at Gillette Children's Hospital (Level I trauma center), with rotations on the traumatic brain injury unit and in the outpatient neuropsychology clinic. Following this, I completed a pre-doctoral internship and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Watson Institute in Sewickley, Pennsylvania. During my time there, I conducted neuropsychological evaluations on children with traumatic brain injuries, ranging from mild to severe, as well as assessments for developmental disorders and various other medical and mental health concerns. A significant portion of my predoctoral and post-doctoral training was with children with cerebral palsy and birth injuries. I have also worked with children with lead and other toxic exposures, cerebral palsy, autism, ADHD, and learning disorders. I worked as a neuropsychologist at the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology for 13 years, where I evaluated children and young adults with a range of medical and mental health disorders, including concussion and traumatic brain injury. For three years during this time, I also contracted at TRIA Orthopedic Center in their Sport Concussion Clinic, providing acute care for individuals with mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries. Since 2012, I have served as the team neuropsychologist for the Minnesota Vikings, where I provide baseline and post-concussion support and evaluations. Additionally, I am the alternate team neuropsychologist for the Minnesota Wild (NHL), Minnesota United (MLS), and Minnesota Frost (PWHL). I am a member of the Sports Neuropsychological Society where I have served on several committees. I was also a member of a brain injury advisory board on the legislative committee where we provided recommendations for legislation regarding TBI support. I provide concussion care for children and adults through age 55. I currently own and operate Midwest Minds Assessment and Therapy, PLLC, where I also conduct neuropsychological evaluations and assist in treatment planning for children aged 3 through young adulthood. I perform post-acute evaluations for traumatic brain injuries, ranging from mild to severe, as well as evaluations for various other medical and mental health conditions. I am primarily a clinician, but also conduct record reviews, independent neuropsychological evaluations, and consult with attorneys and other legal professionals on neuropsychological topics.
