Additional Information

As a gynecologic oncologist, I am dedicated to advancing surgical techniques and improving oncologic outcomes for patients with gynecologic malignancies through direct patient care and research. My expertise spans complex oncologic surgery, minimally invasive surgical techniques, and clinical trials aimed at enhancing patient care and survival. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a commitment to innovation and research, which has led to surgical advancements and patient-centered treatment approaches. During my fellowship, I conducted pivotal clinical trials as a principal investigator, focusing on minimally invasive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in ovarian cancer. These research endeavors laid the foundation for my focus on surgical innovation. In addition to research and patient care, I am passionate about education and mentorship. As an Associate Professor, I play an integral role in resident and core and elective medical student education, including as the director of the gynecologic oncology clinical elective and contributing to surgical training programs. My leadership in the robotics curriculum development ensures that the next generation of gynecologic surgeons is equipped with a broad depth and breadth of technical expertise needed to optimize patient outcomes. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue integrating clinical research with surgical advancements to refine gynecologic oncology treatment protocols. Furthermore, I plan to foster a culture of excellence in patient care, research, and education. By mentoring faculty, advancing collaborative research initiatives, and shaping the strategic vision of the division, I hope to drive innovation and elevate the standard of care for women with gynecologic malignancies. Through research, clinical excellence, and education, I am committed to making a lasting impact on the field of gynecologic oncology, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
