John R. Battle, CPA, CVA, MAFF, CM&AA, is the founder of Valuation and Consulting, LLC and provides expert witness services in business valuation, economic damages, forensic accounting, and financial analysis. He is retained by attorneys in matters involving shareholder and partnership disputes, divorce and estate valuations, lost profits, lost earnings, wrongful death, employment damages, breach of contract, fraud investigations, and tracing of assets. Mr. Battle has prepared valuation and damages analyses involving privately held businesses across a wide range of industries and has served as both a retained expert and a court-appointed expert. He has been appointed by the court as a neutral expert pursuant to Rule 11-706 NMRA, demonstrating the confidence courts place in his objectivity and professional judgment. His reports are prepared in accordance with applicable professional standards and are designed to clearly communicate complex financial issues to attorneys, judges, juries, mediators, and arbitrators. Prior to becoming a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Battle served as a Florida State Trooper. During that time, he conducted traffic crash and enforcement investigations and regularly testified in court. His law enforcement experience provided a strong foundation in objective analysis, documentation, evidence, and courtroom testimony—skills that continue to benefit attorneys and clients in business valuation, economic damages, and forensic accounting matters. Mr. Battle holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF), and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designations. He accepts engagements throughout the United States involving business valuation, economic damages, and forensic accounting matters. Mr. Battle is available for consulting, expert reports, depositions, trial testimony, rebuttal reports, and expert witness review of opposing expert opinions.
