Mark Axelrod is a Property & Casualty (P&C) claims expert witness and former Senior Claims Director with 30+ years of experience reviewing claim files and explaining how claims are typically investigated, evaluated, documented, and resolved. He helps counsel quickly identify the key facts, decisions, and documentation in the claim file and assess whether the handling aligns with accepted industry customs, practices, and common standards, including good faith and bad faith claim handling. His experience includes first‑party and third‑party matters across Personal and Commercial Auto, Homeowners (including HO‑3, HO‑4, HO‑6, HO‑7), Lender Placed Insurance, and Collateral Protection Insurance, along with oversight of SIU, Subrogation, and Vendor Management functions in large claims organizations. He has also supported catastrophe response operations handling high claim volumes. Having served as a Senior Claims Director as recently as 2025, Mark brings current, real‑world knowledge of how claims teams operate today, including processes, documentation practices, vendor coordination, and catastrophe surge handling. He also holds an active Florida 0620 Adjuster All Lines license and completes required continuing education to stay current on regulatory updates and requirements. He has served many times as a corporate deponent and is comfortable in depositions involving claims practices, compliance, and good faith claim handling.
