I am a board-certified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with more than 14 years of advanced anesthesia experience at one of the nation’s premier comprehensive cancer centers. My practice focuses on the anesthetic management of high-acuity and medically complex patients undergoing major oncologic procedures. I have extensive experience providing anesthesia care for complex surgical specialties, including oncologic urology, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, gynecologic oncology, and pediatric oncology. My areas of expertise include robotic surgery, partial and radical nephrectomy, IVC thrombectomy, difficult airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, remote-site anesthesia, and perioperative optimization. Throughout my career, I have performed comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations, developed individualized anesthetic plans, managed intraoperative care, and participated in the perioperative management of thousands of patients. Prior to becoming a CRNA, I worked as a registered nurse in Shock Trauma ICU, PACU, and preoperative settings, giving me a comprehensive understanding of the entire perioperative continuum of care. In addition to my clinical practice, I am an active educator and have served as a preceptor for student registered nurse anesthetists, medical students, and nursing students. I am a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) and the Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (TANA) and was honored to be recognized by the Houston Chronicle as one of Houston’s Top 200 Nurses in 2023. I provide objective, evidence-based expert witness services in matters involving CRNA and anesthesia standards of care, anesthesia-related complications, preoperative assessment, airway management, patient safety, perioperative anesthesia management, and the care of high-risk and medically complex surgical patients. I am available for plaintiff, defense, and independent case review, including medical record review, case analysis, depositions, and testimony.
