Additional Information

Rob Zitsman, MBA, NHA - Experience that makes a difference! I have over thirty-five years’ experience promoting excellent, evidence-based patient care outcomes and creating positive experiences for patients, residents, families, and staff. My work experience spans the continuum of care from critical care to long-term care including inpatient acute rehab, post-acute rehab, dementia care, assisted living, and entry fee model continuing care retirement communities. I have achieved twenty-five consecutive years of CMS Medicare-Medicaid recertification surveys within substantial compliance. Most recently, I led my 75 bed skilled nursing facility to achieve 5 Star ratings for all CMS Star rating measures; health inspections, staffing, and quality for 4 consecutive quarters! I received my B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and my M.B.A from Wright State University. I worked ten years in acute care hospitals before beginning my path to becoming a Nursing Home Administrator. I earned my California Nursing Home Administrator's license in 1997. I've been the Administrator of facilities as small as 75 beds to as large as 220. I chose to always work at the facility level. I know the day-to-day challenges of meeting the needs and expectations of residents, families, and State licensing agencies. Since starting my expert practice in 2024, I have supported both defense and plaintiff counsel on more than 20 cases involving all aspects of Nursing Home Administration. Using my knowledge and experience, I help attorneys build the strongest case possible. My focus starts with the degree to which the facility met applicable Federal and State regulations and extends to offering unique insights into the root cause factors that may have led to an unfortunate outcome. I look at all aspects of "care matters"!
