Dr. Stephen Reich is both a licensed psychologist and a licensed lawyer. Before Dr. Reich became a psychologist, he was an Assistant Attorney General of the State of New York and a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserve – Judge Advocate General Corps. In graduate school, he was awarded a United States Public Health Fellowship. He was a post-doctoral Fellow at the Weill Cornell Medical College and was on the Faculty of Weill Cornell Medical College for four decades. In addition, he was on the Attending Staff of the New York Presbyterian Hospital (Payne Whitney Psychiatric Clinic). Dr. Reich has been asked to serve by the United States military as an expert witness in psychology, in various court-martial cases. In addition to his psychological and legal training and background, Dr. Reich also earned an M.B.A. and, for two decades, was a consultant to the Consolidated Edison Company. In addition to his work in forensic psychology, Dr. Reich has provided psychotherapy as a clinical psychologist to individuals, couples, and families. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, New York State Psychological Association, National Register of Health Services Providers, American College of Forensic Psychology, New York City Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, International Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers’ Association, National Employment Lawyers’ Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, New York Criminal Bar Association, and New York State Trial Lawyers’ Institute. Dr. Reich received his B.A, J.D., and M.B.A. degrees at Columbia University. He received his M.A. and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Fordham University.
