I am a genetic legal expert with over a decade of experience at the intersection of cutting-edge biological research and complex litigation. With a Ph.D. in Genetics and Development from Columbia University and a legal career built on life sciences matters, I bring a uniquely integrated perspective that few attorneys can offer — the ability to deeply understand the science and translate it into effective legal strategy. My scientific background spans molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, DNA sequence analysis, and stem cell research. I conducted graduate research at Columbia University in collaboration with the New York Stem Cell Foundation and performed research on bacterial remediation of radioactive materials at Japan's National Institute of Radiological Sciences. I am further deepening my data-driven expertise through a Biomedical Informatics Certification from the McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics at UTHealth Houston. As both a scientist and a licensed attorney, my practice serves as a bridge between science and law. I regularly collaborate with scientific experts in genetics, chemistry, pharmacology, and material science to develop expert reports and testimony, and I advise pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device clients on matters where scientific understanding and legal strategy must work in tandem. That advice spans patent litigation, Hatch-Waxman litigation, licensing, product liability defense, and proceedings before the USPTO and ITC — always grounded in both the underlying science and the legal landscape. I earned my LL.M. from New York University School of Law, a B.A. in Biology from Amherst College, and a Bachelor in Law from the University of Tokyo. I am admitted to the bars of New York, Texas, and the USPTO Patent Bar.
