Andrew Dow is duel board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He has strong background in internal medicine, as well as both functional and integrative medicine. A Georgia native for 32 years, Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgia College & State University. Early in his career, as a registered nurse, he received additional certifications in emergency medicine, critical care, and air medical transport. He quickly became the youngest helicopter Life Flight Registered Nurse in Georgia’s program history at just 24 years old. Following nearly a decade of emergency medicine, critical care, and Life Flight, Andrew pursued graduate studies at Georgia College and State University and Emory University in Atlanta; where he completed his Family Nurse Practitioner masters degree and completed his Acute Care Nurse Practitioner post-master’s degree. He went on to work as a nurse practitioner at Emory University, specializing in neurosurgical critical care. During this time he also held an adjunct faculty position at Emory University School of Medicine. In 2014, Andrew and his family moved from Atlanta to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. While practicing internal medicine in the hospital setting, Andrew began to recognize many limitations with the traditional healthcare system, and the inefficiencies that result from the reactive approach to healthcare. This inspired a shift in his career to focus on proactive, preventative, and patient-centered care - guiding patients to improved health, wellness, and quality of life through lifestyle optimization and early intervention. Over the years, Andrew has pursued additional education, training, and received certifications in integrative, precision, and longevity medicine. His goal remains to provide personalized, evidence based, data-driven care that addresses the root causes - helping patients live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. His dedication has earned him a reputation as a leader and mentor in this specialized field of medicine—caring for patients across Louisiana and nationwide. In addition to his clinical work, Andrew has successfully launched and has had ownership in several medical practices, where his focus remains to innovate and advocate for forward-thinking healthcare.
