Dr. Shreyas Gangadhara is a board-certified academic neurologist and vascular neurologist with expertise in acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, transient ischemic attack, thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy, telestroke, stroke transfer decisions, and stroke systems of care. His medico-legal review focuses on standard of care, causation, damages, and prognosis in cases involving delayed or missed stroke diagnosis, emergency department stroke evaluation, failure to activate stroke protocols, failure to obtain vascular imaging, large vessel occlusion recognition, IV alteplase or tenecteplase eligibility, thrombectomy eligibility, interfacility transfer decisions, and neurologic disability after stroke. Dr. Gangadhara has held multiple academic and clinical leadership roles, including Director of a Comprehensive Stroke Center, Chief of Vascular Neurology, Director of a Telestroke Program, Neurology Residency Program Director, and Vascular Neurology Fellowship Program Director. His experience includes stroke center operations, protocol development, telestroke implementation, quality improvement, stroke documentation, trainee education, and multidisciplinary systems improvement. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and educational work in vascular neurology, acute stroke care, stroke systems, and neurologic complications of systemic disease. He also teaches medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty on stroke diagnosis, acute stroke treatment, vascular imaging, thrombolysis, thrombectomy, and systems-based stroke care. Dr. Gangadhara provides objective medical record review, case merit review, written opinions, deposition testimony, and trial testimony in matters involving vascular neurology and stroke-related care.
