I am an employment attorney, workplace investigator, HR consultant, and expert witness with more than 33 years of experience helping organizations and the attorneys who represent them navigate complex workplace and compliance matters. I have been retained as an expert witness by both plaintiff and defense counsel in federal and state courts, providing expert reports, deposition testimony, and trial testimony across a wide range of employment law matters. My opinions center on workplace investigations, employer policies and practices, employee discipline, HR standards of care, and whether organizational actions align with applicable legal standards and industry best practices. I am known for my ability to translate complex HR and employment concepts into clear, well-supported opinions that hold up under cross-examination and resonate with judges and juries. As the Founder and Managing Director of The AR Group, LLC, my practice focuses on Title VII discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, ADA reasonable accommodation, FMLA compliance, Title IX, wrongful termination, and workplace misconduct. Over the course of my career, I have conducted hundreds of workplace investigations, including EEO, administrative, misconduct, and climate assessments. My experience includes work under a $28 million federal contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as investigative and consulting support for multiple federal agencies. In addition to my expert witness and consulting work, I serve as a hearing officer, mediator, and adjudicator in employment and ethics matters, including appointments with municipal entities. My background also encompasses administrative hearings, appellate advocacy, regulatory compliance, and ethics investigations. I hold certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a certified EEO Investigator, and a Title IX Investigator. I am licensed to practice law in Colorado, New Mexico, and Minnesota. I earned my J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and my B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology from Boston College.
